Aspidistra species inhabit the floors of east Asian forests and it also found in Pakistan. True to its tough reputation, the aspidistra made a comeback in recent years, both as a houseplant – with its bold, architectural leaves – and as a foliage, for use by florists. It’s equally at home in a darkened corner of the garden as prominently along a sidewalk, and it thrives indefinitely in poor soils, even surviving some drought. If you have to pick a plant for your bathroom, try an aspidistra because for low maintenance they can’t be beat.It needs very low light, average temperature and humidity and just occasional watering.
